The NHSSV staff meets with families and individuals and helps them to acquire the knowledge and tools needed to repair credit and improve skills in money management.

By increasing their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of real estate and mortgage professionals, participants gain new skills and confidence as they enter the housing market. NHSSV provides post-purchase counseling, and meets with new homeowners in focus groups to discuss common budgeting or maintenance issues.

Through one-on-one counseling, aspiring homebuyers address credit and budget issues.
