Neighborhood Housing Services Silicon Valley (NHSSV) works to improve the living environment of low- and moderate-income families. NHSSV provides programs and services that promote and support responsible home ownership as a means of revitalizing neighborhoods and engendering community pride and economic stability among residents.

Paint-A-Thons involve resident leaders in 
organizing exterior house painting events. The neighborhood association selects the houses to be painted. Volunteer recruitment, materials coordination and donations are a team effort among residents, the neighborhood association, and NHSSV.
